It gloriously continues the captivating story that started in The Steel Queen and then continued in The Flame Priest, The Skeleton King, The Poison Priestess, The Knight Marshal and The Prince Deceiver. • Excellent ending to the seriesThis has been my fantasy find of the year. Brilliant storyline, strong characters and well written. I will have to have a break from the genre now or I will be disappointed in what I read next. My only gripe was the epilogue, I wanted to know about the other main characters not what happened 50 odd years later. There is more life in this series and I think other readers may think the same. Kath is too young to give up on love and there are other kingdoms to explore. [...]

  • FabulousThis series has been masterfully crafted. The story has rich details of action, adventure, and powerful emotions. I started this series, not sure what to expect. Before long, I was immersed in this story. I was drawn into it as if I was there with Kath. I only wish it didn't have to end. If you love fantasy, you will be missing out on the best series I have ever read if you chose not to read this series.

  • Wow, it's finally over. Hard to believe I made it through all 7 books. There is just so much packed into each of these books. So much action and strategy and dark deeds and a bit of repetition that it made the reading seem slow. Seriously, these books are dense. But I do love how things turned out, even with all of the plot twists and character deaths. Reading the final chapter really brought back memories of all the characters that were lost in earlier books and wrapped everything up quite nice [...]

  • 4.5/5.0“The Battle Immortal” is a tale of love, loyalty, the strength of one's character and the choices one makes.Read full review in the 2016 May issue of InD'tale Magazine.

  • This was a great addition to the series. Wrapped things up fairly nicely. I did wonder what became of the monastery and its monks, but everyone else's story line seemed to be wrapped up neatly by the end.

  • WOW! It is so nice to have a multibook epic fantasy story that actually finishes. The Battle Immortal does not disappoint. This 7th and final book of the Silk & Steel saga continues to have unforeseen plot twists. It is an excellent ending to a wonderful story. Highly recommended.

  • i have enjoyed the series since first to last book! each book was full of surprise, action and good plots. Thanks
